The king ordered the jester to travel around the countryside and look for new material. He wasn't too upset about it. He knew he wasn't very funny. "Maybe I'll just stay up here...", he thought, "maybe I'll just stay up here, & float around for a while."

Thank you for talking about that ladder!!! It drove me crazy trying to figure out how to draw that ladder!!! But then that turned out not to be that difficult- but PAINTING that ladder- argh! I need to fix it but I got too sick of working on this piece. And the clown is a doll of mine but he really creeps me out- so I've been working on painting a face I can juxtapose over it....
