Hot Air Balloon historical trivia: Did u know that George Washington attended the 1st hot air balloon launch in the USA? Or that hot air balloons were used in the Civil War?

I knew about the Civil War but not about George. This is really a very wonderful image. BRAVO!

I did not know. We have one in Ottawa/Gatineau each year.
AND I have an old Penny Farthing that belonged to my great grand father that my father used to ride in town parades.

I will try. Big lug of a thing to move around. Fell on my mother's toe one time and broke it. And just before her graduation from university. She wore a cast to the ceremony. Quite the story that ended up in a local newspaper. " She wore a cap, a gown and a cast".

Really like what you did here Asherton. like the cloud treatment and bleached out colors. the bicycle gives the image a fun playfulness to it.
