Wire Fence

Img_9072

Not only do I like the structure of wire fences, but I find them fascinating because they resemble a very sophisticated off-loom weaving technique, known as bobbin lace. Bobbin lace is usually designed on a 45-54 degree angle, with the threads crossing and twisting in a similar fashion to these fence wires.

this is simultaneously freeing and constricting. I'm obviously on the fence about my feelings towards it.

:-) Guess it's better to be "on the fence" instead of "driving through the fence" ... which how this image came to be. One of the neighborhood women lost it one day and drove her husband's car right through this fence onto the tennis court. Of course, I immediately ran out to get as many pics as I could!

Thanks for your fave ... really appreciate it!

Many thanks!
The original title of this image was "And then she drove through the fence ..." One of our neighbors just lost it one day ... took her husband's car and drove right through the fence onto the tennis court. Hence all the shadows :-)

Me too, always like the texture and forms it adds to an image . .even though it represents the borders, obstacles.. wether virtual or real ones.
Nice abstract.

I, too, like exploring borders ... which are all man-made, really. Funny how often we think they have to be respected and can't be "crossed." :-)

Many thanks for your comment ... I really value your feedback.
