Absolutely stunning. I love the color pallette. The light is beautiful.
I always wonder how people's images begin life, just to see how creative they get with them. It's almost as if you cannot take a bad picture. They can always be worked to create beautiful artwork.

I went to check out a reference you made to a Hipsta comment thread, and this caught my eye, so now my attention has been happily hijacked to this fantastic series (!!!) and this one in particular. Janeburbank is right, it is a "place" to linger long and explore, love it!

Thank so much. This was one of my earliest pieces and it remains a favorite. Yes, it was taken from the balcony of our hotel room, looking toward Jackson Square. Interestingly enough, I took some more pictures from the same location at the same time of day when I was there for Mardi Gras this year. . The newer pictures are not nearly as good.
