Dear IPA Artists,

In the 3+ years IPA has been online, we've had the privilege of getting to know and work with many of the most talented and incredible mobile artists around the world. You all are true pioneers. The things we have seen you all accomplish in this time, and the things we have been a part of ourselves have truly inspired a new generation of artists and we couldn't be more proud of that.

As for where we are headed next, in response to the feedback we received on our kickstarter project, we have decided to dedicate 100% of our efforts towards creating new fine art print products for high end digital artists, producing gallery shows, and selling art.

Over the years we have made some great strides with our technology in how we present artwork online and through our mobile app. However, this is not our strongest area of expertise, and we feel it's time to focus all our resources where we truly excel.

For this reason, in 2014 we will shift our focus away from online photo-sharing and networking, and towards building personal relationships with dedicated artists, who want to focus on printing, exhibiting and selling work.

Over the past few months, we have been working hard finishing what we started with iPrints, a site dedicated solely to uploading and printing art. We are on schedule to launch in March, at which time we will be closing down the photo sharing and community networking parts of IPA.

To prepare for this, we plan to stop allowing uploads as of February 24th, at which time we will build a commemorative showcase of some of the best moments we've had as a community over the past 3 years together.  We want to feature many of the iconic images we've seen on IPA to commemorate the great work, and great strides we have made, collectively, in bringing the mobile art movement into the mainstream art world.

Please keep this date in mind so that if you need to download any of your work form our servers etc, you can do so before they are gone forever.  Please save your images, screen grab your comments, and copy any URLs to outside resources you have collected over the years.

When we close this portion of IPA and launch the new phase, it will begin as a simple, elegant platform with a wide variety of interesting print products and the best resources for mobile photographers and artists. We then plan to add a new and improved version of the iPrints Store back into this site later in the year.  Once we are ready to do that, we will be in touch with many of you who have expressed an interest in exhibiting and selling work, so please be sure to stay connected with us through our newsletter, facebook, twitter, and our blog.

Although Daria and I will be sad to see this chapter of IPA come to a close, we believe that it has been a great success and are proud to have been a part of it with all of you.  We are excited about these new opportunities and we believe that focusing our efforts in this way will improve our ability to create a successful marketplace where exceptional artists can find tools to help them be successful, build their brand, sell their work, expand their clientele, and produce their work in the highest quality.

For all the clients, staff, artists, and collaborators who make the experience as rewarding as the results.... thank you.
