About ProCamera Contest: UNCHARTED
IPA partners with the award winning photography app, ProCamera, to bring you the ProCamera Contest: UNCHARTED. The purpose is to see how far we can push the emerging field of iPhoneography â to encourage all of you to move into uncharted ground â to discover new techniques and present a unique vision to the world. So try it out. Experiment. Push this new medium to its limit and beyond. To enter, follow the instructions on the RULES page. 1. CREATE a free IPA account. 2. UPLOAD work to your personal gallery. 3. SUBMIT images to the contest group. Awards include an iPad 2, iBal ColorRight filters and more!
i think most people here on IPA are able to look past that all and vote for the ones they really like and fit the contest most: Procamera and no other apps used.
I just wanted to say here that I understand there are many opinions on this subject. Which is why everyone gets an equal amount of votes. Each person gets to express his or her opinion by deciding which images they want to vote for. But whether the works you liked best got through or not, each vote and each opinion is just as valid as the next. For my part, I felt there were many outstanding entries. Some are in the top 25, some are not. In the end, the vote was very close, which speaks to the high level of everyone's work and everyone is to be congratulated, both for their entries, and for taking time out of their day to review work and vote for the work they felt most deserving. Above all the point is to have fun with this and enjoy taking part. So thank you to everyone.
I'm not with you, the rules say other apps are allowed !
And so I can't understand Nathanielpark's words: "i only vote for art created with procamera only."
Also i Cant understand: " ....and vote for the ones they really like and fit the contest most: Procamera and no other apps used.
Sorry, that's my meaning.
congrats to the winners ... really good choice!!!
Almost 500 submissions down to 25!
Congratulations to everyone who submitted and good luck to all who made it to the final, so much talent! Really nice to see the spirit of the competition with a focus on Procamera has stayed strong as well.
Voting for ProCamera Contest: UNCHARTED has closed as of Midnight May 15th EDT. The top 25 images are now on view, listed in alphabetical order by artist. Congratulations to all for a great round of work all the time taken to review and vote for images. The top 25 images will now be reviewed by the ProCamera jury and winners will be announced at the end of the day on May 18th.
Confused because I see new entries to this group after it was suppose to be closed for voting...are we still allowed to enter images?
The submission period is closed. There was a momentary glitch during which 2 images were uploaded, but they were removed right away. All images in the contest were submitted before the deadline, and no additional submissions are possible.
Is it REALLY possible that people sit on their computers at home visiting their own pages? That's dark. Life really is too short for those sorts of shennanigans. Personally I could live without any contests or competitions EVER, ANYWHERE. What I love about this site is the complicity and generosity of the people I've been lucky enough to meet. Call me an old hippy (you'd be right) but competition belongs elsewhere....
just a thought. Love to all......
Thank You ipa for adding the Most Recent and the Most Popular choices to the contest. It is clear, that it is difficult to arrange how the contest site has to list the images of course. I thought about a random listing, but this would confuse the voting precess. I think, the last in first listed method, that You offer as default now is the most fair method?
Have a nice day
I was thinking that next time to have one thumbnail per artist visible with all the other entries underneath. This way we only have 99 thumbnails to look through and not 450+. Who can get to those that 1st uploaded?
Daria and Django, I just went to vote and I noticed my "long road alone" image was posted. I didn't enter this image. I can't honestly remember that it was Procamera. It must have happened by mistake when I was upload entrees. Really sorry! I wish I could enter it. Didn't notice it when I went through all entrees the other day. I apologize for my disfunctional system. Hope to rectify soon.
To get to the vote button you have to click on a particular image. The vote button is then the checkmark icon located to the right side of the row of icons above the image. If you roll over the icons it will tell you what they mean, and an image of the icon can be found on the rules page as well.
